Web Site News: September 4, 2010
The August issue of the chapter newsletter is now posted.

Who We Are
Chapter goals are community service and public recognition of the beauty of the Hibiscus, and our members are principally from Manatee and Sarasota Counties, Florida.

Chapter meetings are held usually at the Synovus Bank on the corner of 26th St. W. and Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, usually on the second Sunday of each month at 1 pm. Visitors are always welcome. Anyone interested in hibiscus, and growing or propagating them, is invited to join. Questions? Contact our President, Dave Flanders (941) 722-6658 or
send an email to Gene Haugh.

Recent Chapter Activities
On July 11 our Chapter Meeting dealt with three topics: (1) Where is our chapter going and how do we get there? (2) First annual plant exchange and Yankee swap. (3) Distribution of new chapter directories.

And Coming Up ...
The September 12 Chapter Meeting will cover “Florida Friendly Plants” presented by guest speaker Michelle Atkinson.
